There are 8 classes of up to a maximum of 25 children which are organised as follows:
Nursery classes
which welcome children from the age of 3 to 5-6 years. They are divided into 3 levels:Petite section maternelle (PSM) (3-4 years old) Moyenne section maternelle (MSM) (4-5 years old) Grande section maternelle (GSM) (5-6 years old)
Elementary classes
which welcome children from the age of 6 to 10-11 years. They are divides into 5 levels:Cours préparatoire (CP) (6-7 years old) Cours élémentaire 1ère année (CE1) (7-8 years old) Cours élémentaire 2ème année (CE2) (8-9 years old) Cours moyen 1ère année (CM1) (9-10 years old) Cours moyen 2ème année (CM2) (10-11 years old)
A child must be at least 2 years and 9 months on 1st September of the relevant year to attend the petite section maternelle and 3 years and 9 months for the moyenne section maternelle.
